Orders & Shipping
How long does it take to ship my order?
Each Doodle & Drift piece is handcrafted with care. Most orders ship within 5-7 business days, while custom or personalized items may take a bit longer. You’ll receive tracking once your order heads out.
Do you offer rush shipping or gift deadlines?
Often, yes. Email hello@doodleanddrift.com before ordering with your date and we’ll confirm what’s possible.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you reach out within 24 hours of placing your order, we can usually update or cancel it before production begins.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the United States. If you’re elsewhere, email us—new routes are always on the horizon.
Will I get tracking info?
Yes. You’ll receive an email with a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
Custom & Personalization
Can I personalize my leather goods?
Absolutely. Many custom items offer initials, hardware or custom strap lengths—see options on each product page.
How long do custom orders take?
Custom and personalized items typically require 10-15 business days for production before shipping.
Can I return a personalized item?
Custom or monogrammed items can’t be returned or exchanged (unless there’s a craftsmanship issue), since they’re made just for you.
Can you make something completely custom?
Sometimes! Share your idea at hello@doodleanddrift.com and we’ll let you know next steps.
Product Care & Leather Info
What kind of leather do you use?
We use high-quality, full-grain leather—the strongest, most natural part of the hide—chosen for durability, character, and the way it develops a beautiful patina over time.
How should I care for my leather goods?
Wipe with a soft cloth and store in a cool, dry place. Use a neutral leather balm occasionally to restore oils and keep your piece supple.
Can I waterproof or treat my leather?
Light protective sprays or natural conditioners are fine. Avoid harsh chemicals or soaking—your leather is meant to age gracefully, not stay pristine.
My bag looks slightly different from the photo. Is that normal?
Yes. Full-grain leather varies naturally in tone and markings, so every piece is one of a kind.
Gifting
Can I send a gift directly to someone?
Of course! We never include pricing in the box—just use the recipient’s address at checkout.
Do you include gift notes?
Yes—add your message in the order notes and we’ll include a handwritten card.
Do you sell gift cards?
Not currently, sorry.
Payment & Security
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal.
Is my information secure?
Absolutely. Payments are processed via Shopify’s encrypted checkout. We never store your card details.

Returns, Repairs & Leather Care

What is your warranty / repair policy?

I stand behind my workmanship. For one (1) year from the purchase date, I will repair issues with stitching or riveting that are beyond normal wear and tear—no charge for the repair itself. You cover shipping to me; I cover return shipping on warrantied repairs.

  • Applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase (order number or receipt).
  • Items must be unaltered and unmodified.
  • If purchased from an authorized retailer, please initiate through your point of purchase.

Outside the one-year window—or for general wear and tear—I can usually help for a small, fair repair fee. I’ll share an estimate before starting.

What’s not covered by the warranty?
  • Normal wear and tear, patina, small scratches, and color variation inherent to full-grain leather.
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, water/chemicals/heat exposure, overloading, or improper storage.
  • Alterations or third-party modifications (re-dyeing, gluing, hardware swaps).
  • Lost/missing hardware not due to workmanship, or cosmetic preferences after use.
How do I request a repair?
  1. Email hello@doodleanddrift.com with your order number, a short description, and 2–3 clear photos.
  2. I’ll confirm warranty status, share the ship-to address, and provide an estimate if applicable.
  3. Turnaround is prompt, but please allow for the realities of a one-person studio.
Can I return or exchange an item?

Eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be in new, unused condition with original tags/packaging.
  • Custom, personalized, or sale/clearance items are final sale.
  • Customer covers return shipping; use a trackable service and keep your receipt.
  • Refunds (minus original shipping) are issued to the original payment method after inspection.

How will full-grain leather age?

Full-grain leather wears in—not out. Expect a beautiful patina, creases, and marks that reflect your travels. These changes are natural and celebrated, not defects.

Care tips for full-grain leather
  • Brush off dust; wipe with a slightly damp cloth as needed. Avoid soaking.
  • Condition sparingly with a quality leather balm when the hide looks dry.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners, prolonged sun/heat, and chemical exposure.
  • Store loosely stuffed to help retain shape; never in plastic.
Who pays shipping for repairs or returns?

You cover shipping to the studio. I cover the return shipping on warrantied repairs. For returns/exchanges, the customer covers return shipping.

Anything else I should know?
  • Small-batch studio: Doodle & Drift is a one-person artisan shop; timelines may vary slightly during busy seasons or travel.
  • In-transit risk: Please insure/track shipments. I’m not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to the studio.
  • Legal: Remedies are limited to repair, replacement, or refund of purchase price, as permitted by law.

Yes. We partner with reputable U.S. and European tanneries that follow ethical, environmentally conscious practices.

Do you make products for pets or travel?
Yes—many designs (like travel wallets, Dopp kits, and adventure totes) are road-tested on our Airstream trips with our dogs, Sirius and Frisco.
